Sundays in my City - Christmas Day Tour

This is the trip we took into the city on Christmas Day. It was a dismal day...but it made for interesting shots.

We take the Grand Central Parkway, past the old police station, old World Trade Fair, Queens Museum, Arthur Ash Stadium, what's left of the Shea Stadium, La Guardia,
and along Flushing bay which was quite stunning in the winter bleakness....
unfortunately I didn't manage to catch much of.

More links for history.

Head on over to Unknown Mami to see
more of this week's Sundays in my City pics.

These are awesome pictures. You have great talent at making a "dismal day" look very cool.

Thanks for sharing your Sunday!

That is an entire history lesson in one short blog post. Love the derelict stadium. And the sense of the windscreen wipers swishing over and back.

Good post.

I love your photos!
I sat in the harbour watching planes taking off at LaGuardia back in 2000.
I then took a lovely cab ride by almost all of these sites! No way was i driving was the fourth of July!
