I just had one of the nicest Sunday's for a long time. We usually go to church on Sundays, into the city. Well, since my last rugrat, I haven't had the energy....been too disorganized...and the other 100 excuses I used to just stay at home and collect my sanity...(ok so I think).
I joined Jasmine over at Far Above Rubies in praying for my husband this week. Now, my husband has a good heart...it's so good in fact that combined with his love for evangalising, he's rarely home. He's always helping someone, doing something. He's rarely at home and when he is home, he's on the phone or taking a nap to recharge.
So this morning, our van didn't start and we were home all day together. All 9 of us and the dog! And it's been pouring cats & dogs this weekend, we had over 4 inches but many places had much more. So today he walked to the store to get some groceries, and made eggs and toast for breakfast....not just any eggs & toast! Then he went back to the store this afternoon and made chicken soup for dinner. What a treat. It was good too, the food and not having to cook all day. I'm trying to talk him into marketing a frozen food line!
We had church at home...what a difference with the kids. I could see their hearts changing as he was spending time with them. He even fixed the neighbours fence.
So in 2 days, God has begun to answer my prayers. How was your Sunday?
