Full Snow Moon Dreamboard

Fulfilling Dreams...Making Adventure a Priority

I am so excited to be joining you this month. when I read about this I knew it was just what I needed. I've come to realize that I'm a visual person and need to see things in front of me...otherwise....well I could say out of sight out of mind.

I made this collage right after I started a 21day challenge online...and it seems to be the spurt I needed. It just came out of the blue, I was reading Garden & Gun and the images on every page were speaking to me. I picked up my camera and photographed them, and made this digital collage. I haven't stopped. I can't tell you how long it's been since I've done something for myself in the past 16 years with marriage, 7 children, Church every Sunday. Seriously about the only me time I ever had was about 1 hr a month reading a magazine. Well I gave up smoking...a lifelong habit and put some things that I love in place. Mainly, my computer...I'd just started blogging, my kids, and my husband. I vowed to make more time with them.

Then I started doing a few small projects that came to mind, and before I knew it they were growing. Knitting, exercising, photography, digital art, the last 2 I'd never considering taking before now. And the funny thing was that doing so gave me a new zest for live, and my chores were done more quickly and efficiently because I had something to look forward to. With spring right around the corner, it will bring new things, and I just can't wait...can't wait to do another dreamboard too!

Lovely collage, Shelle.
Thanks for all the comments you left on my blog. I'm a newcomer to journalling, but the tip I've picked up is to just put something on the page to start, paint, pieces of paper/images etc, then build up the layers until you are happy with the piece. I'm still learning, but having fun at the same time!
